Cumberland Wilderness Retreat (CWR) has a solution. CWR is a retreat- ON PURPOSE. At CWR, you can come alone, with a group, or travel with your family to intentionally retreat to find purpose. We believe our sequestered environment, filled with God's beautiful creation, and our intentional focus on the core values of Truth, Family, and Purpose, can create the perfect habitat for personal and familial transformation.

THE FIRST TIME I SET FOOT ON THE PROPERTY I KNEW THE LORD HAD ANSWERS FOR ME THERE.
I’ve been called a workaholic many times; I say I have a project-oriented personality. I do my best thinking while steady working. Thanks to a loving God and a praying wife I gave my life to the Lord in 1997, taking that personality and work ethic into the local church. Many times in the past years I have asked my wife why did God make me this way, why do I never feel completely fulfilled, why, why, why… And then came Cumberland Wilderness. The first time I sat foot on the property I new the Lord had answers for me there. I get great joy seeing someone’s jaw dropping expression when they see the place for the first time and thinking I was allowed to have a small part in them finding the Lord there. So thank you Lord, Cumberland Wilderness, and Keith for allowing me to have a part and to find and accept God’s will in my life and my purpose in His kingdom. I now know that all my whys have but one answer; “For His Glory”. - Andy Dixon
