MY HEART WAS MOVED FROM THE SECOND I SAT DOWN
"Thank you so much for allowing Mara and I to be a part of this past weekend. My heart was moved from the second I sat down. It was truly the most peaceful I have been and felt in a long time. I feel refreshed and renewed and in awe of hearing God speak to me through others. I am so grateful and thankful." Love and blessings, JJ Childs
IT WAS A LIFE-CHANGING WEEKEND!
"You do not know how much this weekend has meant to me! I am forever grateful for having this experience. It was so nice to be around strong Christian women. Everyone was so friendly and encouraging. Cumberland is beautiful! There are stunning views everywhere you turn. Just knowing that God created such beauty is amazing! I wanted to thank you for letting me have all these experiences! It was a life-changing weekend! One that I will never forget. God is doing wonderful things through you!" - Misty Rogers
THE DEPTH OF FELLOWSHIP THAT THRIVES THERE IS MORE SUBSTANTIAL THAN THE DEEP WOODS THAT SURROUNDS IT.
"It has been a great joy to my family and I to be able to get away to The solitude and serenity that we experience in the environs of Cumberland Wilderness Retreat. When we are feeling world-weary from job and school and finance and even service at church, the wildness and quietus that one can experience in the marvel of creation that is the Cumberland Plateau is a welcome blessing from God.The breeze that blows is steady and refreshing and the remoteness of the place eases away the grinding buzz that lingers in the hearts and heads of all who labor. The depth of the fellowship that thrives there is more substantial than the deep woods that surrounds it." - Scott Dempsey
THE FIRST TIME I SET FOOT ON THE PROPERTY I KNEW THE LORD HAD ANSWERS FOR ME THERE.
I’ve been called a workaholic many times; I say I have a project-oriented personality. I do my best thinking while steady working. Thanks to a loving God and a praying wife I gave my life to the Lord in 1997, taking that personality and work ethic into the local church. Many times in the past years I have asked my wife why did God make me this way, why do I never feel completely fulfilled, why, why, why… And then came Cumberland Wilderness. The first time I sat foot on the property I new the Lord had answers for me there. I get great joy seeing someone’s jaw dropping expression when they see the place for the first time and thinking I was allowed to have a small part in them finding the Lord there. So thank you Lord, Cumberland Wilderness, and Keith for allowing me to have a part and to find and accept God’s will in my life and my purpose in His kingdom. I now know that all my whys have but one answer; “For His Glory”. - Andy Dixon
